Welcome to our moodle, Reading Around the World.  During your third grade year with Mrs. Hodaba, you will be reading a variety  books to learn about our world.  Our quest will take us all over the planet from the coldest regions on the poles, to the driest deserts, from the temperate forests of New York to the rain forests of Hawaii, Oregon, and Brazil.  We will journey to the prairies of America and Canada, the steppes of Asia, the velds of Africa, and the pampas in South America. 

On our exploration we will learn about the landforms, plants, and animals of each region.  We will also explore how the people survive in each environment and how they make use of their natural resources.  We will look at many countries to determine how we are alike and different.  It promises to be an amazing journey!  Come along and Read Around the World!
