  • This course is for the participants of the Reading First Grant Application Process and Districts in Round 1, 1B, and 2.
    Reading First is a federally funded program designed to provide states and school districts with the needed assistance to establish research-based reading programs for students in kindergarten through third grade. The purpose of Reading First is to ensure that all children learn to read well by the end of third grade.
  • Understanding the NYSED Math Standards Process & Content Strands is critical if we are to bring conceptual understanding into the classrooms. This forum provides an opportunity for mathematics educators from the Hudson Valley RSSC client schools to work together to explore the most effective strategies for improving teaching and learning and to share their experiences facilitating mathematics reform. Participants will explore and apply strategies from various instructional modules designed to promote effective math practices at the district, building and classroom level.
